Kaafi is a Munich-based band whose debut album puts Indian music front and center. The group brings together an Indian singer and an Indian drummer with a German bassist and a Polish pianist, blending the energy of Hindi and Bollywood songs with influences from pop, jazz, and blues.

Each member brings their own musical roots to the table: Shruti’s expressive vocals and Aditya’s sense of rhythm embody the spirit of Indian music, while Jacek’s piano playing adds harmonic depth and color. On bass is Uli Lehmann, who brings decades of experience from the European blues scene and genres such as ska, calypso, Afro-Cuban, Latin, and Brazilian music. His trademark is an earthy, steady groove that carries the band’s sound.

The result is a vibrant blend of tradition and modernity—a musical journey full of joy, energy, and cultural diversity.
